We use analytics cookies and similar technology (Google Analytics, and a first-party visitor log we run ourselves) to understand how buyers navigate this site — which pages are viewed, time on page, scroll depth, referring site, and general location derived from your IP address (country/region/city and internet service provider, not your precise address). This data is tied to a randomly generated identifier stored in your browser’s local storage, not to your name, unless you separately submit an enquiry.

None of this runs until you accept the cookie banner shown on your first visit. If you decline, or make no choice, no analytics cookies are set, no visitor identifier is created, and no browsing data is sent to Google or stored by us — you can browse the entire site, including product pages and guides, without it. You can change your choice at any time by clearing your browser’s site data for shankuchakra.com, which brings the banner back.

When you submit an enquiry or sample request, we also look up the approximate location and network provider behind the submission (from the request’s IP address) as a basic check against spam and fraudulent enquiries — this happens regardless of the cookie choice above, since it is part of processing the enquiry itself, not passive tracking.
